A military coup in February 2021 has caused widespread demonstrations across Myanmar; In response, military forces have used lethal force against their civilian population to enforce their authority; violence has lead to a mass exodus of refugees across neighbouring countries. At Thailand refugee camps, FTH local church partners are providing basic emergency kits to families on arrival:

For a donation of $65 FTH can provide a family of 5 with 13kgs of food, medicine, mosquito nets, solar power torches and other essential items.

Local Pastor reports:

“The medicine is greatly needed as children and babies are covered in mosquito bites and the people have many cuts and open wounds due to fleeing sometimes barefooted or with very limited clothing. Having fled the bombing and burning of their homes.
